Variable Demand. High Mix.
Let Burton provide you with end-to-end solutions for PCBA and Box Builds.
Building a reliable variable-demand, high-mix production line in your own plant can pose challenges for you, potentially interrupting your core business. Our manufacturing facilities are fully optimized for variable-demand, high-mix production.
Our two manufacturing facilities were recently redesigned to offer greater flexibility and scalability. This allows Burton to implement changeovers quickly and ramp up production of your variable-demand, high-mix order. And at Burton, your production is overseen by some of the world’s most experienced manufacturing and quality-control experts.
Our commitment to you doesn’t end when your order ships. We continue to work closely with our customers through the entire product lifecycle, developing continuous improvement processes that elevate quality.
This is why 100% of our customers return.
Printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) are at the heart of your product. They’re close to our heart, too. Which is why Burton has continued to make major capital investments to expand our PCBA technologies and capacity. Our production facilities are optimized to support the fast changeovers required in high mix, variable demand environments.

Case Study: Higher Performance, Lower Cost
The challenge: An industrial OEM saw an increasing number of field returns on a system controller sourced from another supplier. The OEM called on Burton for help.
The Burton approach: Our team partnered with an outside lab to perform a failure analysis on several of the assemblies, which indicated the components were actually performing to specification. As a next step, the Burton team reviewed the customer documentation. That’s when we discovered that for the same assembly, a customer-initiated ECO, a component had been changed in error. We’d found the source of the performance issues in the assembly.
The result: Burton devised a re-layout of the board that corrected the performance issues. And at the same time, our redesign of the board reduced unit cost by 25%.
